Unfortunately, you are right.

I tried to allow it here and it was fiasco, i cannot create UTF-8
users/mailboxes as dovecot doesn't support delivery to it, i
cannot receive SMTPUTF8, as rspamd loudly assign very high
score to it, K-9 is not able to reply to UTF-8 address, etc, etc.
Only exim (+ Python and ClawsMail) is usable in that...
