First of all, in reply to, Krystin Bird writes: "Election fraud does not occur openly, during voting hours. If voting machines have been compromised, no one will see that. If fraudulent mail-in ballots are added to the total, it will occur in the days and weeks that follow." I dealt with such claims extensively following the 2022 election. At that time, some of my closest comrades were claiming that Trump had not actually won the election, that he (or possibly Putin) had manipulated the vote by breaking into the voting machines and getting them to flip Harris votes to Trump. Others claimed that mail in ballots had been "lost" or otherwise miscounted. I spent hours looking into such possibilities and my conclusion is that there are none - no possibility. For one thing, it's impossible to break into the voting machines on a wide scale since they are not connected to the internet. The only other means would be to physically go to the voting machines. I calculated that there are over 700,000 voting machines and it's impossible for some group to visit even a proportion of them without being noticed. It is relevant again today, since Trump is renewing the claim but from his side of the story.
As far as Anthony Teso: He lectures me on raising resolutions even when one knows they may not pass. It's the debate and struggle over the issue that matters. Please, I don't need such lectures from him. What does he think I was doing for 30 years inside my union and the labor movement as a whole (including the central labor council, to which I was a delegate)? Does he think I was just running around making friends and gathering brownie points? I was doing that sort of thing all the way back in the 1970s and continued until I was expelled. I think I made it pretty clear that I tried to do it in DSA while I was active there. In fact I tried again recently with both the local DSA election campaign and at the recent East Bay DSA convention. Teso dispenses his advice freely. Fine. My question to him is why doesn't *he* do it? Is he a DSA member? If not, why not? *He* should join and wage the kind of battle he advocates for me to do. Then he can come back and talk.
