I think the first thing is to recognize the seriousness of the threat and the depth of the problem: First, as I showed in my article, Trump is serious about overturning the election results and he is bending every wing of his administration towards that end, including the Trump majority on the Supreme Court. If he succeeds, we will have crossed a Rubicon here in the United States. Second, the Democratic Party's plan to stop him is through legal challenges. That is far from certain to succeed. No Kings has no plans to mobilize. Even if they do, Trump will ignore them as he has up until now. Third, the entire union leadership without exception are passive and silent. Fourth, the socialist movement, such as it is, is also silent. That includes DSA and socialist journals like Jacobin and Tempest. There are pockets of resistance, including among individual postal workers. It's possible that a mass and disruptive/defiant movement will spring to life, seemingly out of nowhere. That is the best hope, but those socialists and working class activists who recognize the danger have little or no power to build it. So, I think all we can do is use every avenue we have to warn of this danger. That includes explaining the failures of those who should be leading the way. That's what I've been trying to do, both on my blog and in DSA (with zero interest from DSA members).
