Reactive Losses Power Flow

I am working with the module of power flow, and i want  know if the reactive 
losses that shows me the program considers the capacitive effects of the lines?.
I am comparing results with other malingerers and these do not coincide with 
some results that gives me MATPOWER, and differ for the lines that possess a 
high capacitive value. 
I appreciate the information that you can give me.
