I think that all depends on the way your organization works and how well
departments communicate and interact.

 

I find that in our facility, it works best for the Clinical Analysts to
be in IT.  That way they know what's coming in the future, are aware of
network issues, etc. If we were in Nursing then I think we'd be out of
the loop and out of the discussions that are critical to our success.

In a small hospital that only has one Clinical Analyst......could that
Clinical Analyst (that is in charge of the NUR, OE, PCI and NPR modules)
report to the Nursing Department.....or....do they need to be in the IT
Department?
