The mounts are different between a 1200 style A12 and a 120Y or A14/15
style engine. To bolt straight into a 1000 you need the A12 style, but i'm
sure it wouldn't be hard to make new engine mounts.
To fit a later model gearbox into my 1000 I had to cut a little hole in
the floor as the clutch mechanism is different on the gearbox, but it is
very worth it, the A12 flywheel and clutch combo was a godsend to my
car.
I have a balanced A12 in my room, but I want to find either a GX
manifold or a turbo set up for it. Somebody help me please...
Also the dinosaur front suspension has the facility for camber adjustment,
I used seatbelt bolt spacers to move the top in about 12mm, it works
pretty good...
