Chris,
Pass on the ceramic coating question.
If your extractor pipe from #4 has the upwards bend in it have a trial fit
before you cut anything, actually remove the heat shield from the manifold
and with the carbie fitted to the manifold check that the rearward SD
Hitachi fuel bowl will clear the header as some of these early bread of
headers made in Australia were designed for Hitachi 2bbl & Weber 32/36 and
some are even OK with a single side draft eg Genie & Sonic.
H&M21C are a good quality locally made header and are OK for twins (either
Hitachi SD or Weber)
regards
Terry

Subject: ceramic coating
hey peoples, is it possible to get only one exhaust manifold (the one
comeing off #4 cylinder ceramic coated? and if so how much would I be
looking at? I have genie extractors, and am just about to replace the
single hitachi with my twin SU's, but the manifold rises before it drops,
meaning I'm going to have to cut the heat shield on the carby to fit the
inlet manifold around the exhaust manifold. now that was one long sentance.
so cutting the heat shield, will make the carby heat up, becasue this
troublesome # four extractor rises that much. I don't even think I could
fit a cold box in there - damn!!
thanks - chris
