Hi Malcolm,
In Aus the ADR rules made it mandatory to fit a collapsible steering column
sometime late '71 or early '72. My 4/71 B110 didn't have it but my 4/72 510
GL did. I just can't recall when the last of the 510 SSS cars were made and
also I can't recall SSS stuff being in the Aussie parts supplement so we may
have only imported or locally assembled them.
Aussie SSS owners might like to refresh this sob's memory on the history of
the Aus SSS.
regards
Terry (btw MC you've been a bit quiet on the lists lately)

The uni jointed colum or collapsible column was a option .
do not think a certan model has them,as the only one i have seen was
factory fitted to the 71 510SSS coupe.
but it looks to be the same as 610,710 type anyway.
I have never seen the collapsible column fitted to a 4 door 510SSS.
