I heard the IRS on the 200Bs was no good. I am interested in setting up a
decent suuspension system on my 200B which has the live axle.
Is the IRS on the 200Bs good and if so does it bolt on?
It would probably be better then the live axle in the exhaust area...since
with the live axle the exhaust has to snake around over the top of the axle,
but on the IRS it weasels through a hole somewhere there (hole is about 2
1/2 inches diametre if I'm not mistaken, but causes too much vibration if
the pipe touches it)
The way I see it there's no use putting a high powered hair dryer motor in
the 200B if it will ride around the road like a tinny in high seas.
PS- I recommend buying a good datsun body with a motor thats doesnt go, for
a song, and then for another song buy a datsun like the majority of the
200Bs you see getting around where the panels arent attached at the base of
the car due to rust and they flap away as you drive along, but with a motor
and gearbox that goes...then you can combine to two to make a 200B just like
out the factory...oh right I can stop dreaming now.
