Damien,
With 350mm front suspension height you shouldn't be bump steering, I'd be
looking for another cause and correct. Is this a street car, 2 degrees -ve
camber is on the very upper limit that's useful; 1 to 1.5 degrees is about
right for a 1600 which is also about the most you'll get with the 180B
offset tops if everything else is straight at the moment. Also your rear
suspension is 2" higher than the front which usually means it will handle
"not at it's best" but when you correct by fitting nice springs you'll be
impressed with the results of the overall package.
As you have 200B struts I'd guess that 1" lowered 1600 springs are fitted
already you'd need fit a 2" HD lowered Lovell's 1600 spring or equivalent
and then you'll get around 320mm which you desire.
You're in Canberra? We must meet up for a chat one day - give me a shout off
list if you are interested.
regards
Terry

Subject: Re: front end (long)
Todd,
I'm experiencing bump steer probs as well. I have decided to remove the
offset control arm bolts and fit 180B offset strut tops, and then fit some
adjustable radius rods. Whilst I'm at it I will fit a 68' crossmember and
give every thing down there a hit of paint, purely for cosmetic reasons. I'm
aiming for 2 degrees neg camber, and about 3 degrees positive castor. At the
moment my front (hub to gaurd) is 350mm and rear is about 340mm. At the end
of my front end mods, I want to have 320 front and 290 rear. These are the
heights recomended by white line steering and suspension. They have a good
web sight worth looking at. Forgot the adress, someone on the list may know
it.I have 200B struts.
How did the 120Y steering box go?
Anyway, good luck, and death to bumpsteer.
Damien.
