Fj20 -
Twin Cam 16 valves!!
i
have heard fjs have more potential, but arent they either twincam 8 valve or
singlecam 12 valve(not sure which)
i
know srs are a "square" engine, meaning they have(from memory) 83mm bore and
83mm stroke also even the naturally aspirated ones have a solid forged
crank
these two points alone make them a great engine, but
every one whos owned one would know that
fjs
are supposed to be pretty good too, i just dont know as much about
them
does
anyone know whats supposed to be so great about ca18dets? besides being a
nissan
No - this one was a white pearl finish, but did
have momo wheels, with 35 series tyres. Lookout potholes here we
come!

black with momo mags?
I was on a cruise in Sydney a couple of
years ago with a turbo'd SSS pulsar, he had the same problem with
instant lane changing. He even snapped an engine mount on the way into
town! Once he got traction though, it was like a bat out of
hell.

i have an old magazine at home with
Australias fastest fwd( pulsar sss at the time)
naturally aspirated sr20 converted to turbo
with 350 hp at the wheels and 390 hp on nitrous
used to wheel spin and change lanes on him
in 3rd gear.
Hi list,
I was speaking to an engine builder
last night (in Sydney) who is doing some head work for me,
the guy is a guru with Nissan engines and love the FJ20, anyway,
the conversation eventually got onto the inevitable question -
"How much horsepower can we get..........."
The answer of course was " Are you
planning on winning Lotto?" Of course I lied to him and told him I
was! (Doesn't everyone plan for that day?)
I am now curios to find out what
people are getting out of both the Turbo's and naturally aspirated
FJ's and even SR's. Might be a good topic for discussion??
Anyone out there got any stories
(preferably true) that they could share.
Mark.
