Z22 a better option as they are
counterweighted,
Murray Coote used to get (can't remember which
crank)
either S2 bluebird or Z22 and get it sent down to
Melbourne and
weld the journals up and offset it to a 94mm stroke
(why this figure?)
(can't remember why it was 10 yrs
ago?)
he said the best L series L20 crank was the S2
bluebird something to do with
castings between 3 & 4 journals, make them
a 8500 rpm crank

David, I would forget about using the z24 rods.The L20
rods would mean that with L20 piston that the pin height would be about
5mm to much so you need to find some pistons with 5mm less pin height.The
z22e late model pistons list as a 32.1 pin height when compared to the L20
as 38.1 which is 6mm and you could deck the block if the comp was to
low.These pistons are 87mm bore but unsure on the dish.Others on the list
