I have had this experience. You've got the right idea, use an "easyout". I found my broken bolt was actually loose in the hole when I started to drill into it and cant work out why it broke. I reversed the drill and it unscrewed easily. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mark Firman" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, 5 June 2002 15:33 PM Subject: broken screw
> Hi listers, > > I have struck a small problem with my L20B. One of the holes in the block where the engine mounts bolt into has half a screw in there but the head has snapped off. It is too far in to grip, so i was going to try to drill a hole in the screw and reverse thread it to get it out but i thought i'd ask if anyone had any good tricks for getting them out first. Any suggestions? > > Thanks, > Mark. > > _____________________________________________________________ > Get Your free Ozdat Email Account > ---> http://www.ozdat.com > > _____________________________________________________________ > Promote your group and strengthen ties to your members with [EMAIL PROTECTED] by Everyone.net http://www.everyone.net/?btn=tag > > --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
