hi, i would just use a selection of drills from 1/8 th say, to the size
where a drill will neatly slide in a unused bolt hole.

dont use a a easy out, its just not worth the risk if they break.
after u drilled it out, and with a bit of fiddling you should be able to
get a bolt started , then VERY slowly screw its way in, wind it back a
bit , then back in etc.... SOMETIMES this will get the tiny bit of metal
out that is left in the thread.

or just use the correct size tap.
btw, dont drill in too far, you`ll go thru the block.......

Subject: broken screw

where the engine mounts bolt into has half a screw in there but the head has
snapped off. It is too far in to grip, so i was going to try to drill a hole
in the screw and reverse thread it to get it out but i thought i'd ask if
anyone had any good tricks for getting them out first. Any suggestions?
