Well these are not the stories I want to be reminded of, just when I've become comfortable with my plastic-lined, self-fitted manual oil gauge my faith has been reduced. I tried a couple of electrical senders and all were way to big to fit near the oil filter on my FJ20ET. I did have a L-piece but when it screws into the block for a nice fit the direction for the sender is still wrong and fouls the (custom 1600) engine mount which normally wouldn't be anywhere near there in a DR30 or Silvia.

Actually I did get some replacement fitting from my local Pirtek dealer and got some good advice about how to tighten up the olives correctly.
