Good point mate.
I knew there was another reason I hated (with avengance) mechanical style oil pressure 
guages.
I had a oil line split and ruin brand new (one day old) light blue carpets.
These were custom made to the colour I wanted, pitty it was the very last of that 
carpet they had left.
I had to have brand new front and rears made up in black in the end.
So it was a expensive thing to have done.
One thing it did do was add a nice rust-proofing treatment to the floor.
But what a mess, and yes it ruined my 2 month old pair of Levi 501's and causee i 
didn't have any tools on me at the time I had to have the car towed to work, as I was 
on the way there as it happened.
