Hi Kris,

You just need the crossmember. The mounting points for the lower control
arms are mounted higher on the crossmember. This gives you a better roll
centre when you lower the car and also less bump steer. The control arms
sit on a better angle. You are better off using the later model control
arm, because the bushes on the inner end are much better. The early
model control arms have a two-piece tapered bush which has more
compliance than the later press-in single piece bush. You can still use
the 200b brake setup.

Cheers,

Chris

Hi all,
Sometime ago someone said that an early model (`69?) 1600
crossmember and lower control arms was a better option for lowered
1600`s, was this right? If so how come? Do you need anything else? Can
it still be used with a 200B brake set up? Have i got this wrong???

Kris.
