Just went and had a proper look. The pivot bolt on
mine measures about 25mm from the bottom of the xmember, the `69 one is about
35mm. Is this about right? If this is, i`ll grab it tommorow. I also saw one on
what appears to be an early `70 model (not much left of it) but has the the same
as the `69.

Will the pitman arm and the idler arm have enough
clearence from the pivot bolts? I assume they will but it looks like they will

The pivot point on the early crossmember is about an inch
higher which gives you a lower roll center and keeps the arms closer to the
original angle and should reduce bumpsteer.
