I would Like to say one thing, on the dollar values of cars in Australia, as
compared to other countries, what we get here in Australia as a base model
(lets say  ford focus) other countries would not touch.
We get the most basic of basic cars sent to us from other countries.

Or as my Mate Greg says, here in Australia we get all the crap, that other
countries would not touch.

The only reason Holdens and Fords are soo so cheap as copared to imports, is
the Australian government raises the tariffs on imports to put us
Australians off from buying them, keeping the Australian dollar in
Australia, not raising the foreign debt.

This also keeps Australian jobs safe.

Where over in New Zealand they don't seem to care as they don't make to many
cars, so there isn't many jobs to try to protect.

There are not many countries in the world where lets say (Walker exhausts)
who went on strike recently, could shut production down on Fords, Holdens
and Nissans.
Because they could not sourse exhausts from anywhere else, the government
had to interveen to get the people at walker their pay rises so that the car
manufacturers did not go broke, due to lack of cars leaving the plants to be
sold.
How sad is that?
