I have the candy bar AND the blinker relay. Pulled the blinker
yesterday and resoldered. it worked for maybe 12 blinks then died.
Cycled the candy bar 25 times and no return to blink. Buzzing in the
blink relay.

There exist 115's that don't have a hazard system. I have
schematics for them too, and they have a signal relay. Instead!
But I've never seen such a car, every 114/115 I've seen has a
red-dot knob or that gigantic red candy bar. I don't know
if the candy bar has a flasher inside it, or whether it's just
a switch like the later red rocker. But if you have a red-dot
knob, the only flasher in your car is inside it, and is awaiting
the pleasure of your company.
