Black may be the better choice as well. Since the front window is
cracked and going to need replace, might as well just gack it so that
no water gets into the cabin. Might have to remove the driver side
window and replace the mirror. Wish I could find the window trim strip
while I have the window out. Wonder if one of those italian rally
mirrors would look ok

That's what's holding the Falcon together. I must say that the
clear silicone guck does not last out in the UV. It turns yellow
and rots. If you can arrange for a little better application and
cleanup, the black would probably hold up much better.
That's what the Frankenheap is going to get one of these days.
