Craig, I don't know, but the size of the wiper blade might be a clue. At some point MB changed the wiper design which allowed for a longer wiper blade. My '87 uses 22 inch blades, if your '90 uses a longer blade (I don't recall if 23 or 24 inches) then it probably has the latter design which is far easier to take apart.
