Well generally speaking cars aimed at women have feminine names (like the Renault Clio), whereas blokes cars have macho names (like Patrol and Land Cruiser). Good thing MB never bothered with naming their vehicles.
Hmmmn I wonder what they would have called the 123?

Hendrik
who doesn't care what a car is called as long as it does it's job but does own a Patrol:)

The Probe, IIRC, was engineered by Mazda and to my mind wins an award for a bad car name.

It's bad, but I think the award really needs to go to the Daihatsu
Charade. (Maybe it was only pretending to be a car.)

Other names I've singled out for badness:
- Chevrolet Citation
- GM Impact (original name for the EV-1)
- Subaru Brat

It was never sold in the U.S., to my knowledge, but Suzuki once made a
car called the Every Joy Pop Turbo. And Toyota made one called the
MasterAce. (Just think about it for a bit.)
