For the record, the same printing problems happened to me earlier this
summer when I tested a standalone on a PC running Windows 98 with a
brand new HP printer running the latest driver. In my case, the printer
spewed blank sheets of paper repeatedly until we cut the power. Printing
in other apps was disrupted afterward, and restarting didn't clear the
problem. The owner of the PC reported that printing had worked fine
before I ran my standalone, and he had just that morning been printing
from Office without any problems.
