I think everything there is pretty solid, a couple very minor recommendations at the end. > LIAN LI PC-7B plus II Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail > http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16811112099 +1, I love all the Lian Li stuff. :) > > GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX All Solid Capacitor Intel > Motherboard - Retail > http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813128059 > > MSI NX8800GT 512M OC GeForce 8800GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express > 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail > http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16814127329 > > SeaSonic S12 Energy Plus SS-650HT ATX12V / EPS12V 650W Power Supply - Retail > http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16817151028 +1, SeaSonic are nice quiet power supplies. > Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 Conroe 3.0GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor > Model BX80557E6850 - Retail > http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16819115028 > > CORSAIR DOMINATOR 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) > Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TWIN2X4096-8500C5DF - Retail > http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16820145197 Honestly, I doubt you need 4GB of ram. You can probably save yourself $100 by just getting 2 GB. My main desktop at home typically runs 3 Desktops concurrently (my wife and my self via the switch user stuff in X, and a second one of mine via NX), and it only had 1 GB of ram until this past weekend. These are all full blown gnome desktops, nothing lightweight there. > LITE-ON Combo Black IDE Model DH-52C2P-08 - Retail > http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16827106082 I'd recommend getting one of the Lightscribe capable burners. There is linux software, binary only, to drive them, and lightscribe discs look *awesome*. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136134 is the equiv of what I got (my model is actually discontinued now). -Sean -- __________________________________________________________________ Sean Dague Mid-Hudson Valley sean at dague dot net Linux Users Group http://dague.net http://mhvlug.org There is no silver bullet.
