What is the total inventory of your combo? Megasquirt plus what? Maybe I
could duplicate that. 35 highway would be acceptable…

I get 30 - 35 in both my 94's with Megasquirt ECUs. One has 300hp to the
wheels and weighs just under 2000lbs, the other is stock except for the MS,
no MAF, header. It has 249k miles on it.

The BAD

Mexico is in decline, Saudi and other middle east producers may have lied
about reserves, north sea is in terminal decline, ad so are we.

Chinese and India demand is growing while their governments subsidize fuel.

The GOOD

Brazil found oil amounting to ¾ all US proved reserves. Canada and Venzuela
tar sands are greater than Saudi Arabia oil reserves (by far), Caspian sea
has oil, algae and celulosic biofuel have huge potential.

But for the foreseeable future, supply wont grow past 85ish million bbl day,
while china and India add thousands of cars a day as well as other demand
increases.

This report is at the high end of predictions at $7 - $10 gallon. But most
previous “high end” predictiosn are where we are today.

I have seen pictures of an all electric miata...

I would guess that you would run into the law of diminishing returns with
starting as a miata as a base but I would love to be proven wrong. If it
were me I would find a stand alone ECU, get a hard top, strip out as much
weight as possible, get the nice new rolling resistance Michelin tires and
see where that gets you.

BTW, do you have a time frame on that $7 gas? that seems quite a bit higher
than most of the predictions that I have heard floating around.

With $7 - $10 gas predicted, need choices.

thx
