If my sister and I want to move into a house together, adopt
disadvantaged kids, who nobody else wants and are being bounced from
foster home to foster home, and raise them, why shouldn't we be able to
get all of the tax advantages, health care advantages, etc, as a
"married" couple that does the same thing, but makes their own kids?

You are forgetting all the financial benefits that accrue when you call
it a marriage rather than a partnership. Heavy financial burdens on
employers as well.

I know several gays who claim to be married and they are no where near
the commitment level of a real married couple. It's just trendy to say
they are married. They'll be split up in a year or 2 at the most and
they'll have the advantage of not needing a divorce or having to go to
court.

That's what we Straight people like to say, so that we can discriminate
against homosexuals.

The problem for many homosexuals is that they ARE women,
psychologically. It happens in the womb - Testosterone is not flushed
through at the peek time, so female characteristics develop in the
brain.

On another note, what are people afraid of? Do they believe homosexuals
will produce young? Hahaha...

I was brought up anti-homosexual, but no one said why. It wasn't until
I was a young man that I actually met a gay fellow at work, and I would
never have known he was gay if he hadn't told me.

He was alright, seemed just like everyone else, except more "emotional"
than most guys I knew.

I could not condemn him for his sexual orientation - he didn't choose it
- and he was a good person.

We straights knock gay people quite a bit, but is there ANY straight
male that can honestly say he doesn't find lesbian porn intriguing? Of
course not! ..and WHY do we like it? Well, there's the bit about
having many more female parts available, at least twice as many as
usual... and there's the "IT'S DIFFERENT" aspect to it, because both
participant's are women...

So, why do so many of us straight people feel the need to deny marriage
to gay people?

We're discriminating, cold-hearted bums, that's why!

I think we need to lighten up, relax, let go... Live & Let Live...
