So if I’m working for a living and can afford a nice house and nice cars and
steaks, I’m greedy because the guy down the block is eating franks and beans
and living in a trailer? I don’t think I should be paying extra taxes so he
can eat steak too. Guess I’m greedy.

The only ones I see as greedy are the politicians like Ted Kennedy who lived
all their life on a trust fund from his Daddy and didn’t give a damn if he
raised my taxes because he didn’t pay them anyway. After all you take wages
not income and since he lived on his income, not a salary he didn’t pay his
FAIR SHARE, but wanted me to pay more.

I’ve been waiting for the evil GREED to finally show up. Figures it’s Jerry
that brings up the EVIL GREEDY too!!

Well, when one is raised on gravy bread and beans, watches family die because
there is no work and therefore no money for health care, and one also reads
Dickens over and over because one has no TV or radio, one becomes accutely
aware of economic differences and the inequalities that result from those
differences. This doesn't mean one wants revolution, but it does mean one
would like to see opportunities to improve conditions. It also makes one more
in-tune with those who have not, and it leads one to wonder why those who have
are so self-centered, so materialistic, and so uncaring regarding the plight of
their neighbors.
