because that would be just as far from allowed traditional family as gay people, and the bible strictly forbids homosexuality. the religeous right wants to save you from burning in hell. ideally, given enough time you could be proselatized into beng a believer, then the writings you now are a devout believer in will scare you into the loving arms of Jesus, and you'll be saved. a fish logo on your Miata bumber will finish the job. now, if you MARRY your sister, which can only in some counties in kentucky, then you go to the local consolidated church/townhall/schoolhouse/still and fill out the papers to adopt. you'd be covered that way too. but if you want to just bypass all the rules of civilization, and just simply start loving and nurturing needy children, then the establishment owes it to itself to crush you. it all makes perfect sense. ;)
