Companies are going go naturally want to unload those costs if possible and/or companies will not be able to compete with a government option that does not have to turn a profit. Just a second... So many people think that Government just takes money and doesn't MAKE money. Are you aware that some agencies, like the GSA's Public Building Service, is actually self-funding and operates at a profit? It is possible that if structured correctly, a government public option could be self-sufficient or nearly so.
