I have added this 1988 James Brown entry to April 4 to coincide with today's James Brown entry. Don't know why this didn't come up back in April - because it's pretty significant - but it was detailed in a news file I pulled up this morning.
1988 – James Brown is arrested for assault with intent to murder, and aggravated assault and battery for beating his wife Adrienne with a pipe at their home in South Carolina, after she checks into a hospital seeking treatment. Brown is also charged with firing a gun at her car while she was inside it trying to escape during the brutal April 3 attack.
