2003 – The Daily Star newspaper runs a story that the skeleton of Manic 
Street Preachers Richey Edwards, missing since February 1, 1995, has been 
found. The article is in error, and the family of Richey Edwards waits 
until 2008 to have him officially pronounced dead.

2005 – Pink Floyd's David Gilmour tells the press that artists who’ve seen 
album sales soar after their Live 8 performances should donate their 
profits to charity, saying: "This is money that should be used to save 
lives."

2007 – The Fflam Festival, slated to run from July 13-15 at Singleton Park 
in Swansea, Wales, is cancelled due to bad weather. Manic Street Preachers, 
Keane and Placebo were set to headline the event, where more than 50 bands 
were supposed to play.
