2011 – Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty is released from jail after serving 
only 46 days of a six month sentence for cocaine possession. Meanwhile, in 
Regensburg, Germany, charges are set to be filed against Doherty for 
breaking into a music store on March 8 and stealing a guitar and record. 
Both the guitar and record were found in the town’s square shortly after 
the burglary.
2012 – Carol Hawkins, the former personal assistant of U2 bassist Adam 
Clayton, receives a seven year jail sentence for embezzling 2.8 million 
euros (£2.2 million) of his money after being convicted on 181 counts of 
theft from the bassist's bank accounts over a four-year period to fund a 
lavish lifestyle.
