That makes this topic ad nauseum. Smug
and satisfied is ad hominem. / Chris Jenkins
Smug and satisfied is ad hominem???? Just goes to show how.... biased
and bigoted some moderators can get, especially when someone disagrees
with them.... Now, stating that this topic doesn't have "merit"...
that's ad hominem.... as well as being self-assuming and feigning
intellectual superiority....
Ad hominen and ad nauseaum.... wow... two Latin phrases in one
posting.....do you know any others, Chris?
You know Chris.... there are whole web pages dedicated to so-called
Logical or (in most cases, actually) Rhetorical fallacies....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fallacies
With a few minutes reading.... almost anyone... can learn some
definitions and spout off some words as if they know what they are
talking about....
The difference is that "some" people... like Chazwin... have actually
read the original sources where those latin-named "devices" came from,
and much more.
You tell me, Chris..... would you say that you, yourself, have read
(or know) as much as Chazwin?... the guy has a Phd and one or more
Masters degrees in diverse areas... get real, Chris. (not that I
credit Phd's all that much, myself... I have a joke about that, you
may have heard it)
How about Kierkecraig?... Or, although I have only gathered the least
about him, how about Ian?
Talk about being smug and satisfied.... let's add self assuming and
feiging intellectual superiority, to that..... and (in my opinion)
that isn't an ad hominem attack.... it is a factual, accurate
observation.
I guess I'm just fishing for a "banning".... but I won't make it too
easy for you Chris..... I think I will make it my goal to show you up
in your ... faults or lack of learning or preparation..... wherever
and whenever I can....shouldn't be too hard....
