I'm sorry but I have to disgree with the first part of this. Knowledge renders belife obsolete, naaa it dont' We work with both all of the time. For example, this very statement. 'Knowledge renders belife obsolete'. How do you 'know' that? It is clear that you must belive it, why else say it? How have you gained 'knowledge' that it is true?
