I disagree with you. I learned more at the state university than I
ever did in silly Catholic schools outside of having a pretty good
time line of history in my head. I sent all four children to public
schools K-12- colleges were a mix of private and public. Most
neighbors sent their children to private schools after 4th grade to
set them in the right social class and on track to go out east to
college for future adult contacts- marriage and business. I finished
college and most of graduate school on grants. My daughter lost her
loan status swictching to a university that catered to minorities so
being white wasn't an advantage. You assume that making money is
admirable in and of itself and maybe that the top tiers of society are
interesting people plus knowledge is unused- guess I would disagree
with those ideas as well.
