Ahh science huh. I may not know a lot but I am sure that science and religion do not agree on many things, the existance of a soul being one of them I for one would love to read any papers you have that suggest that animals have souls.
Anyhoo onwards. It is clear that what makes up all of what we may call a human takes place in the brain. All that you or indeed I am, is due to the old grey matter. Having said that however I am theist and so I belive in the existance of the soul. So onwards to my initial question. What is a soul and do animals have them?
