I think we should come up with some sort of standard effect rack template that all the skins can share (and theme as necessary) but I'm not sure we can do that in time for release.
There is currently not enough room for big waveforms and the mixer and also 4 decks. At low resolutions, it's already impossible to show every UI element, and the skin system is not flexible enough to allow for every possible combination of elements. So the design is a best-effort at letting people choose a good layout. Ultimately if there's a skin design you want that isn't possible, it may be necessary to create a new skin for it. For a while I was maintaining LateNight-Wide, which had all four decks horizontally and the waveforms at the top, spanning the width of the screen. Maybe it's time to resurrect that.
