I had the SRS springs, bilstein HD's and SRS rear bar on my '91 GLI
for a long time and it was a _fantastic_ setup. Smooth riding as
stock, better handling than the H&R/Bilstein+Neuspeed bars I had on
my '88 GTI. However, things got even better when I added a big
front bar to the shine setup. With the big rear bar, I could get the car
to oversteer by lifting throttle, and turn-in was fantastic, but the car
understeered badly in a constant radius corner. With the big front
bar, the car was neutral around a constant radius. Very nice.

IMHO, the shine stuff is well made, but they're just flat WRONG
about the front bar. The car was way faster around corners with the
big autotech hollow front bar. So go ahead and get all the SRS stuff,
but definitely throw on a big front bar while you're down there.
