Yup, I did have a big front bar on one of my cars for
awhile.  It did corner flatter and have faster
transition times, but I couldn't get on the gas as
fast coming out of corners due to the loss of
traction.  I think for auto-x, where you do alot of
transitions, a big front bar might be the way to go. 
For road racing, I prefer the stock front bar, big
rear bar...
