Yes, perfectly right!

I have to agree with Iain. I am with Onvol too and find the service very
reasonable. As far as I know my d/l is 7 GB within 30 days. I never exceeded
the limit since now. Does anybody know what happens to Onvol clients if
somebody exceeds the d/l limit?

What I do not like about Onvol is that they use to block several ports
without telling it to their clients. I was setting up a mail server on my
machine and was experiencing problems. Therefore I called the hotline to ask
them if port 25 is blocked in anyway. They told me it is not blocked. After
struggling and trying for another day I gave up. Later I have heard form a
friend that works with Onvol that they DO block port 25. I wasted at least
10h of my work time.

Before I was with Onvol I was with Maltanet. The service they offer in
regards to their hotline support is kind of arrogant. E.g. all lines are
busy or you can not reach them at all. If you reach somebody the people you
speak to are not very qualified.
I use to pay my subscription in cash and had to queue for more than 1h at
times.
I use to have connection problems quit often. This might be related to a
shitty phone line too, therefore I do not want to put the blame entirely on
my ISP. As far as I know DataStream is responsible for this kine of
problems. Therefore I changed to Onvol, since they have a cable network.

In general I feel quit restricted to the port blocking and traffic shaping
and sizing policies in Malta. I can not use P2P at all, which is an
essential service of the Internet. Online gaminging is not possible and if I
want to download the newest Mandrake distribution I have to be careful about
my d/l limits. My opinion is that for the money paid the service should be
better and open!

Cheers,
