I want to make clear that I don't blame sellers for using ebay as it obviously
has its advantages as far as reaching customers and doubly so for the little
guy out there. I'm just listing grievances I have against ebay greed practices,
as normal, and the global shipping is certainly one of the worst money grabs
they've implemented. My recent experiences (and I understand they're
exacerbated by the pandemic) are certainly making me lean towards siding with
Tommy here. Shipping from the US is nearly finished for me (especially in the
weightier record collecting field) in the altogether but definitely paying for
it through ebay's global shipping is a mistake I am soon going to stop making!
I'm happy to see a few oldtimers still slinging paper there and shipping as
normal. And I don't blame seller like Kirby from using an easier system either.
But sellers should always lie about value...it just makes it more fun for
everybody!

Take care,
M
