Magnus:

A "thought" can represent social value, it can determine a man's action
and
thereby affect his social value. But it *is* NOT social value in itself,
not
metaphysically. This is a very crucial distinction that most people here
seem to
have missed.

Ron:
Hello Magnus,
We hardly have any basis for comparison, I can't help but to get hung on
The fact that human beings are found in societies. If there was an
example
Of a human being born and bred isolated from any society would they have
Thoughts? Would they make distinctions? Would they abstract from
experience
Or is this learned? Is s/o distinctive thought instinctual?
It is rather difficult to say since there are no known examples.
Humans are master mimics by instinct, which leads to some suspicion
about
The nature of "thought" as we know it to be.

Communication may very well have its origins with making distinction.

thought may be social value itself.
Distinction and Communication seem to exist because of each other.

To assume s/o distinction is a 2nd level property may be reductive
Fallacy depending on how you use this assumption in the formation
Of a metaphysic.

Something to consider.

Magnus:
I'm sorry if I sound harsh, but I'm getting a bit disillusioned about
getting my
ideas to grow (dynamically change) here. They can't grow without
feedback.

Ron:
I am familiar with your name but not so well with your ideas, I endeavor

To be open to others ideas and insights. I am a subscriber to SOL's main
Thrust, but there are concepts I do challenge. I also think Hams
Essentialist theories have merit. I may not be your caliber but I am
Always willing to discuss and further ideas to the best of my abilities.
