It is not communism that has done this, as you well know. When it comes to
Russia it is just a continuing theme that the Russian rulers have been on
since the fall of East-Rome, and in other cases it is pretty much the same
thing - nowhere has there been a grand scale communist rule, as it is
described by Marx and Engels, but a lot of variations of Leninism (which is
NOT communism as such) have been twisted and built into older ruler
traditions of whatever country it has manifested itself. It is not
communism itself that has caused this, but rather catastrophic
interpretations of it and plain old Mad Rulers.
Furthermore - Nationalism and Communism was never intended to be combined,
that is also a corruption of the original thoughts.
