Evolution describes the process of change it does not actively do anything.
New laws may emerge from the evolutionary process but evolutionary processes
do not change the laws of physics. Evolution is the dynamic response to
those static laws.

I would like to be on the same page with you. Aristotle was the first
proponent of metaphysics. He called it ³what comes after physics². IMO the
laws of metaphysics can change the laws of physics. E.G., Persig
entertained a meaning for DQ which is undefined, that is only accessible to
metaphysics not physics. It is a Conscious/Mechanical difference. A
conscious being evolves differently from an inorganic rock. Different laws
apply. IMO the laws of order of evolution are found in existence, e.g., the
universe. Physics applies laws derived from the manifest in existence, and
denies an existential order to evolution. This denies undefined DQ.

Actually meaning arises from that metaphysics. It grows out of the organic
process of the universe unfolding. You and I create meaning. It does not
create us.

[Joe]
I agree there is a learning curve. DQ is meaning. I am somewhat aware of
the meaning of my existence, and it is in someway different from the
existence of a rock. I have different possibilities. That is not to say that
I am not a rock!
