SA: Thank you Dan. I mean it. This is a compliment
to me, for, I do try to enjoy the mundane, boring
everyday living. I really do. At times, when I get
bored, I sit back, and love it! These are the moments
when I enjoy the world as is, without trying to spice
it up with too much hot sauce and not enough of the
main course. I like spice, believe me, but I can sit
and eat plain old rice and that's what I desire at
times, the plain old is very satisfying. I've been on
many hiking trails and some are more exuberant than
others. There is this one that is so simple and
boring. My wife has gone and it's really nothing.
You walk, camp overnight, and walk out in a trail that
circles, but no big boulders, no waterfall, no large
creeks, some smaller streams, no vistas, no large
hills to climb, just plain-old PA hills, and the trail
goes through woods, after woods, after woods. No
natural monument, etc... It is a simple walk in and
out, and I feel nothing major has happened. Yet,
that's exactly what I like about it, and why I go back
to the trail time after time again. Plain-old woods,
with plain-old PA trees (no spectacle trees, the same
old ones for PA), plain-old quiet... I love it! This
plain-old has actually been an endeavour of mine to
share on the forum. The everyday simple, same-old,
same-old. Don't get me wrong. Some intellectual
posts are good, some very good. I like them all,
except for those that I've come out in public and let
them know how I don't value their philosophical
position. Sometimes I find people try to philosophize
something grand and colorful with this almighty-type
grand scheme of how life is with words upon words,
logic built upon logic, hey, I'm sure I can still
write in such ways, on and on and on, and the design I
could weave would be pages long on how 1+1=2 and
experience an ecstatic state of eureka, trying to get
that next intellectual high - oooooOOOOOOAAAA... and
then I wake up the next day it's still plain-old sun
coming up and going down... yet the colors, the
beautiful colors or the gray clouds hiding the sun,
and oh... what was I talking about again?

Thanks, seriously, you've pegged a true effort of
mine.

woods,
SA
