[Platt] Sometimes, yes. Sometimes, no. But I'll bet their are plenty of mathematicians who don't verbalize their equations. I agree with what Ham said about having non-verbal concepts.
[Arlo] Okay. Give me an example of a number that is not a word.... As for whether or not mathematicians "verbalize", I'd say that they have automated the reading process, but if they did not have a word for "two" they could not "think" about the number.
