he "toleration" is nothing to do with me Marsha, the online identities are tolerated / trusted by all who interact with them. The only person with any actual power to decide if an identity is "valid" is Horse.
But I see Arlo has picked-up the "identity" question ... I'd agree with the general point it's not about a name, or even a zip code or phone number - they can all change - it's about the constancy and consistency (or not) of many overlapping patterns ... mainly patterns of text and "behaviour" in e-mails, since we are an e-mail forum, with little else to go on. Are you naive to expect trust and honesty betweeen posters ? No you are not, but trust has to be earned (whatever anyone's name).
