You say: All DOCTRINES are by definition INTELLECTUAL. A PRACTICE may be strictly SOCIAL if it is ritual, but if it is "worked out intellectually", it is (at least partly) INTELLECTUAL (again, by definition). Andre: You are right and thank you for responding but you would also agree that your response is very carefully worded ( 'if' its ritual (?), I am not clear what you mean here, Craig)) , 'at least partly' , 'by definition' and this points to the trickiness of this level.
