John to Andre: I think the main point is in taking the "M" out of the "SO". Subject/Object personhood/otherhood is not the metaphysical basis of reality, it's just a real cool intellectual toy that happens to work great. As long as you keep in mind it's limitations when describing ultimate reality you shouldn't be embarrassed by it.
